When Survival Outweighs Bans: Citizens Protest for Basic Rights
In Bengaluru, protests might be restricted, but the desperation of citizens cannot be silenced. The residents of Chambenahalli, Sarjapur area have been forced to take to the streets—not out of choice, but out of necessity.
Mithilesh Kumar, Founder of Civic Opposition of India, highlighted the grim reality: "Citizens are forced to come out on the road for 'no roads'. When the infrastructure collapses completely, people have no option but to demand accountability."
The protest is directed against MLA Shivanna of Anekal, whose constituency has seen prolonged neglect. We are calling upon Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to look beyond the bans and see the ground reality.
